Anticipation is building at Dingwall for the big game this weekend! Children and caregivers will be cheering long and loud for a Blues win in the Trans Tasman Super Rugby competition. Especially after they made a special trip to treat the tamariki and rangatahi here recently. Dingwall has one of our caregiving team's brother Jefferson to thank for the VIP treatment tamariki, rangatahi and staff received. Dingwall Trust popped in on the Counties Manukau Quilters' Guild recently to find the team hard at work making individual, named Christmas stockings for every tamariki and rangatahi in our care. Each one is unique and a work of art in itself.Under the guidance of organiser Elaine Orum, the clever, crafty women had hired out the Friends House at Auckland’s Botanic Gardens for a day of quilting and sewing to get the majority of 50 stockings required underway.Like the community quilts the Guild often donates to Dingwall, the stockings are made with love and care, with individual thought and creativity going into each one.
